Recipe Kue Putri Salju

Kue Putri Salju (literally translated: Snow Princess) is an Indonesian cookie in the shape of a crescent, which is often eaten at Eid. It owes its name to the white appearance.

Ingredients:

  • 450-500 grams of flour
  • 150 grams butter
  • 200 grams of margarine
  • 200 grams of grated cheese
  • 100 grams of milk powder
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams powdered sugar

for the snow:
  • 100g icing sugar
  • 100 grams of milk powder

Materials:

Preparation:

1. Mix the butter, margerine, salt and egg yolks. Then add the grated cheese, powdered sugar, milkpowder and mix until smooth.
2. Add the flour.
3. Butter a baking tray.
4. Create a sheet of dough about 1 cm thick and cut the cookies with the mould.
5. These cookies go on the baking tray 25 minutes at 140 degrees Celsius in the oven.
6. Let cool down.
7. Roll the biscuits then in a container with powdered sugar and powdered milk, untill they are evenly white.
8. Selamat Makan!

For 30-40pcs.

Tip:

For variation you can also replace the grated cheese with ground nuts.
