Recipe Kue Kastengel

Kue Kastengel, derived from Dutch word Kaas-stengel, is a savory biscuit which is often eaten around the Eid. We do not agree with that, because throughout the year they taste delicious. Kue Kastengel


Ingredients:

  • 450 grams flour
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 200 grams of margarine
  • 250 grams grated cheese
  • 50 grams of milk powder
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon salt

for dusting:
  • 50g grated cheese
  • 1 egg yolk

Materials:

Preparation:

1. Mix the butter, margerine, salt and egg yolks. Add then add grated cheese and milkpowder and mix until smooth.
2. Add the flour.
3. Butter a baking tray.
4. Create a sheet of dough about 1 cm thick and cut the cookies with the mould.
5. These cookies go on the baking tray. Brush the cookies with egg yolk and sprinkle with grated cheese.
6. Bake 20-25 minutes at 140 degrees in the oven.
7. Let cool.
